Iron Key runs a fellowship program aimed at helping new investors learn, earn, and grow their skills in angel investing and venture capital (VC). Participants in the program, called Fellows, are trained with a special blueprint that helps them learn how to invest and make smart decisions in the first 8 weeks of the program. Additionally, Fellows receive lifetime access to a network of investors and alumni.

Angel Investor in Residence Role:
Iron Key is offering a part-time, remote position called “Angel Investor in Residence.” This role is perfect for someone who wants to learn more about early-stage venture capital (VC) and angel investing. Fellows in this program will learn about the skills needed to invest in startups and get access to Iron Key’s network of investors.
The role is designed to help participants learn the important skills needed to become an angel investor. Over the 8-week program, participants will learn how to find investment opportunities, evaluate potential investments, and work with experienced investors. The program is perfect for those who want to learn about VC, build an angel investment portfolio, or make angel investing a professional career.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in a hands-on, 8-week program that will teach the basics of early-stage investing, including deal sourcing (finding potential investments), due diligence (researching investment opportunities), and understanding different aspects of venture investing.
- Work with other VCs and investors to understand best practices and strategies in the world of angel investing and venture capital.
- Learn from experienced investors who are part of the Iron Key community, and get access to valuable tools and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and evaluate investment opportunities in Web3 and blockchain technologies.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage with the team and pitch investment ideas to Iron Key’s investors.
- Active participation in Web3, AI, or startup-related clubs, organizations, or communities is a plus.
- Some understanding or experience in Web3 or AI technologies is helpful.
- An aspiring founder who is interested in learning how to raise capital for their own startup could also be a good fit for the role.
- Someone interested in making a career change into venture capital or angel investing would also benefit from this role.
- Previous experience working with startups or in entrepreneurial environments is a plus.
