The Program Field Officer (PFO) will help develop and manage programs to ensure children in Bangladesh with clubfoot get timely, fair treatment. Working with the South Asia programs team, the PFO will support and expand MiracleFeet’s initiatives in Bangladesh. This involves coordinating with field partners, reviewing treatment efforts, and ensuring high-quality services. Reporting to the Program Manager for South Asia, the PFO will also work closely with the program management team. This role is based in Bangladesh.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Program Development and Monitoring
    • Support MiracleFeet’s growth in Bangladesh by planning, setting up, and monitoring program activities.
    • Build strong partnerships and expand MiracleFeet’s network in the region.
    • Strengthen relationships with project partners by offering program assistance and guidance.
    • Help partners become more sustainable and capable beyond MiracleFeet’s funding support.
    • Ensure programs align with MiracleFeet’s values and the RunFree2030 Global Plan.
    • Collaborate in events and campaigns that promote clubfoot treatment.
  2. Supporting Partners and Program Quality
    • Develop budgets and plans with partners to support sustainable growth and high-quality program activities.
    • Work with partners to improve treatment processes, outreach, and referral services.
    • Contribute to integrating clubfoot treatment into Bangladesh’s public health systems, focusing on staff development and service access.
    • Assist partners in making data-driven decisions using tools like Salesforce and CommCare.
  3. Knowledge Sharing and Advocacy
    • Work with the Programs Team to create and share best practices in public health and clubfoot care.
    • Stay updated on relevant literature and trends related to clubfoot treatment in Bangladesh.
    • Monitor public health trends to identify needs and opportunities for MiracleFeet.
  4. General Program Support
    • Work with colleagues and partners on projects like conference presentations, fundraising, and program initiatives.
    • Help in implementing innovation projects in line with local guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public health or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in program management, especially in public health or child health.
  • Experience with government programs and partnership-building.
  • Fluent in English and Bengali.
  • Familiarity with Bangladesh’s public health context is an advantage.
  • Willing to travel (up to 30%).

  • Strong networking skills in Bangladesh, particularly in health, child protection, and human rights.

  • Excellent communication skills and experience with reporting and documentation.
