Overview

We are looking for a Science Writer/Editor to help us communicate scientific knowledge and insights to various stakeholders, including clients, industry experts, and policymakers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scientific research, along with exceptional writing and editing skills. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to produce accurate and engaging content that highlights our carbon management solutions and thought leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate Complex Concepts: Translate complex scientific ideas related to carbon management, climate change, and sustainability into clear and engaging written materials.
  • Collaborate with Experts: Work with subject matter experts and technical teams to gather information and ensure scientific accuracy.
  • Develop Diverse Materials: Create a range of content, including white papers, case studies, technical reports, and promotional materials, following company guidelines.
  • Editing and Proofreading: Edit and proofread content for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and consistency, ensuring high editorial standards.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest research, trends, and regulations in carbon management and sustainability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide editorial support to ensure all content meets deadlines and project requirements.
  • Support Marketing Efforts: Create engaging content for digital platforms, including websites, social media, and newsletters.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in English, environmental science, or a related field. A background in climate science or carbon management is highly desirable.
  • Proven Experience: Experience as a Science Writer, Editor, or Technical Writer, ideally in the sustainability or environmental sector.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex scientific information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Research Skills: Familiarity with scientific literature databases and the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • Data Presentation: Ability to interpret and present scientific data using visual aids like charts and graphs.
  • Collaborative and Independent: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for Sustainability: A strong commitment to sustainability and an understanding of climate change issues.
  • Familiarity with Carbon Management: Knowledge of carbon management frameworks and sustainability reporting standards is a plus.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and content management systems.

Salary

Compensation:

$103,000 – $126,000
